Fortunately, with over 40 years experience behind us, we have the expertise to understand these rare and beautiful gems.To help, the price you actually pay for a diamond is based on two basic factors; quality and carat weight. To assess the quality of a diamond we look at its cut, clarity and colour and then investigate the fourth C, carat weight. The closer a diamond is to ‘colourless’ the more valuable it will be.

The human eye finds it extremely difficult to see ‘no colour’ and therefore many diamonds appear white, whereas most diamonds have a hint of yellow or brown. This is often due to the presence of nitrogen when the diamond was formed. So size certainly isn’t everything.Still not clear? Just ask us for a demonstration and we will be happy to oblige. |
