Q. What can I do if my purchase is not to the recipient’s taste?
A. We will happily exchange or remake, at no extra cost, on a like for like basis.
Q. How long does it take to resize a ring?
A. Depending on how busy the workshop is and what type of ring it is. A straight forward
platinum sizing takes approximately an hour. Whereas a ring with shoulder stones can
take longer or may have to be remade. This may take up to a couple of weeks to complete.
Q. What after-care service is available?
A. All of our products come with a free after-care service, which includes cleaning and polishing
twice a year, resizing as well as up to date valuations for insurance.
Q. Where will my jewellery be made?
A. The majority of our pieces are made in our own on-site workshop.
Q. How long does it take to make an engagement ring?
A. Depending on the design, from 1 week for a solitaire diamond ring to 8 weeks for a totally
Q. What is a diamond certificate?
A. A document that accompanies the diamond, from an independent laboratory. The certificate notes the diamonds characteristics i.e.
colour, clarity, weight etc.
Q. How can I work out my partner’s finger size without them finding out?
A. There really is no exact way of doing this, don’t worry we will gauge it together as best we can, and make any alterations once the ring
has been presented.
Q. How far in advance should I order my wedding rings?
A. We would advise 4-6 weeks at least, to ensure for fitting and any alterations that may be required.
Q. Do you offer an engraving service?
A. Yes we offer a free engraving service inside all of our wedding rings. We also offer a chargeable seal engraving service for signet rings.
Q. What is a hallmark and do I need one?
A. A hallmark is a stamp of fineness, certifying the purity of the precious metal. This is a legal requirement in the UK.
Q. Can I claim the VAT back if I am visiting the UK and exporting my purchase?
If you are a visitor to the United Kingdom, and your home, or the place you live is outside the European Union, you may be able to get a refund
of the VAT paid on certain goods that you buy. If you are an EU resident who intends to leave the EU for a period of at least 12 months, you
may be able to get a refund of the VAT paid. You must export the goods from the EU by the last day of the third month following that in which
they were purchased.
Q. How can I pay for my purchase?
A. We accept all major credit/debit cards or bank to bank transfers. A deposit will secure any purchase, with the balance being paid on collection.
